WPR, CPA is pleased to apprise that The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has established the Fairfax Relief Initiative to Support Employers (Fairfax RISE) - a new $25 million grant program to assist small businesses and nonprofits affected by COVID-19, funded using federal CARES Act funds provided to the county.
These grants will not have to be repaid and are offered to qualified small businesses and nonprofits with $7.5 million set aside for minority, veteran, and woman-owned businesses. Applications will begin to be accepted in early June. These grants are available for businesses and nonprofits with fewer than 50 employees.
